Christina K. McClelland is an Atlanta-based author interested in controversial issues facing the modern woman. Based on trued stories, her debut novel, A Circle of Chalk, aims to encourage open discussion about infertility, embryo adoption, dispensation, and mental illness.

A native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Christina graduated from the University of Alabama in 2003 with a BA in English Literature. After working in finance at UBS, Christina changed her professional trajectory, and entered the art world. She enjoyed a decade-long career before writing full-time and publishing her debut novel. In addition to earning a BA from the University of Alabama, she has completed coursework in Shakespearean Studies at Oxford University and will be a graduate of The Book Incubator Writing Program as of May 2024.

In addition to writing, Christina is passionate about volunteerism. Named for her late father, The Curt Keeney Tennis Program was founded in 2021, serving middle and high school-age girls in the greater Atlanta area. CKTP is proud to partner with Odyssey Atlanta on the campus of The Westminster Schools each Summer. Combined, both programs, promote growth and opportunity in academics and athletics. As a former collegiate athlete, Christina believes that access to sports is integral to every child’s core confidence, and can open doors never before imagined.

Christina lives with her husband and two daughters in Atlanta, Georgia.
